Does anyone know if the USA is officially in a recession or not? How long will it last this time? What all is it going to take for the USA to get out of it? How will the USA solve this problem? Will a recession affect everyone living here weather there are citizens or not?

Recessions can be guessed at while they’re happening, but can only be measured and determined for certain after the fact.
A recession is good for the economy every now and then, in the same way that a fire is good for a forest:
Some get burnt,
a lot of deadwood gets cleared out,
and the surviving trees end up healthier.
Financially, the “deadwood” is these subprime mortgages that people had no business taking out in the first place.
Same thing during the 2000-2001 recession. A lot of dot-com companies who’s only product was their tech stock got wiped out.
Companies such as http://WWW.BuyClamsOnLine.Com
(A dot com that was competing against the grocery store??? What were they thinking? Oh yeah, it’s a dot-com stock.)

Recessions are a normal part of the business cycle. Oftentimes, we don’t know we’re in one until it is over. It gets measured by various means, and there is usually a lengthy delay before accurate data reveals itself.
I think we may be in a recession, but it will be a while before that’s confirmed. The ridiculous tax stimulus payments coming up in May could be a good shot in solar plexus. We’ll see.
