The average town economy is usually short of money to do all the things that need to be done. Towns get money from taxes, grants, fees, and fines, but they usually have to borrow money for major projects or float bonds. Money doesn’t grow on the town’s trees and it is hard times for too many towns.
depends on the region, but most exploit whatever resources the near by land gives them. for example, if there is oil around they depend heavily on petrolium, if there is farm land then its ag. some depend on coal, some on iron or copper. some on gaming. some on tourists.
Our town is still doing fine. Revolves around restaurants, small shops, tourists coming in to use our beaches, landscaping services, all kinds of stuff to be honest
