legal pot would create an entirely new industry in a matter of months.
hemp can be used for many different things; clothing, rope, plastics, oils, lubricants to name a few. there was even a group that built a car with a crash test rating comparable to the average american car, entirely out of hemp from the chassis up.
a legal hemp industry would also create jobs, someone has to plant, tend, harvest, catalog, package, deliver, and stock the product.
plus every stoner in the US would scrape up enough cash to buy a pack of joints. and all minor marijuana cases would be expunged, so there would be less tax money required to operate the jail systems.
there, with one industry we’ve created new jobs, created a sellable product that is easy to create, manufature, and is environmentally friendly, and also help relieve the tax burden on the public.

Really, maybe read up on the banking crisis and some basic finance/econ concepts.
The way for business to succeed is to stop taking money from business. Which means cutting wasteful government and taxes. Regulation directly caused out banking crisis. Democrats were making policy on finance that people who earn ten times what they do at banks should have been handling themselves.
